You are not “too much”

Dear Leader,

If there is any part of you that is holding onto an old story that you are “too much,” I invite you to revisit and reframe that narrative.

Goodness knows that there are many messages floating around out there designed to dim our lights, shrink our dreams, and redirect us away from what we really, really want toward what’s “feasible” or “realistic” instead.

I say, “nay.”

Our world needs you to be more of who you truly are with your full heart, your full voice, and your boldest dreams.

I believe that leadership is an act of liberation.

The more you journey toward self-transformation and self-liberation, the more pathways to possibility you can unlock for the transformation and liberation of others.

The systems you lead, the families you support, the decisions you make all get stronger and clearer as you step into who you truly are.

This is a worthy and worthwhile endeavor.

It’s normal and human and part of the hero’s journey to lose our way, to detach from ourselves to survive the challenges life throws at us. And yet, here all along, is also the choice to find our way back home to ourselves.

We are the leaders of our own lives, and to remember that is, itself, an act of liberation.

Lessen your grip on the old story that no longer serves.
Open your hands to receive the remembrance of who you’ve always been.
Take hold of your authority and authorship of a new story, a true story.

This is the kind of leadership that calls us forward now.

Onward.
