Solo retreat

“I change myself, I change the world.”
-Gloria Anzaldúa

I spent last week on a solo retreat, taking space to look within and see what wanted to emerge.

I spent hours walking and writing, gazing up at the mountains and listening to the trees.

Nature nourished my spirit. Its vastness reminded me that my own struggles seem far more manageable when I observe them enveloped in nature’s regenerative power.

I spent time sitting with myself and my racing thoughts, shedding old mindsets (along with some tears), and allowing sentences to flow onto the pages of my journals.

I was finally able to begin writing the book I have held as a dream for so many years.

I communed with my ancestors, asking them please to be voices of support as I navigate the next part of this unknown path.

I felt all my senses awaken and expand to hold new dreams, wild ideas, and an openness to embrace a new level of spaciousness in how I live my life.

I am grateful to the Pahara Institute at Lone Rock for creating and caretaking such a beautiful space that allows leaders to nourish and awaken the good they hold within.

Are you taking time this summer to rest and reflect?
✅ If yes, what are you noticing?
☑️ If not, and you’d like to, what might make it possible for you to do so?
