On the other side

Three years ago, I left my executive role and stepped into a period of unknown.

It was a terrifying transition in many ways. I closed that chapter without knowing my next career move, yet I was clear that the precise thing I wanted to do next was reintegrate myself—bringing into alignment my mind, body, heart, and spirit.

The truth is, I felt deeply broken by this significant transition. I began to ask big questions about who I was and who I wanted to be.

I began to look across my life at places of needed attention—my health, my marriage, my mothering, my friendships. Breakdowns began to surface as I realized I’d left untended these beautiful parts of my life that mattered deeply to me. My work had come at a cost, and I became present to the toll it had taken on my life.

I knew then, as scared as I was, that everything unfolding in my transition would make me stronger. What I didn’t know was how to get to the other side. I began taking tender steps through discomfort into a new phase of becoming.

In the space in between, I found that I no longer needed to force a path forward. My vision of a new future could move me.

I found that I didn’t need to work longer or hustle harder. Rest and stillness could bring me expansive clarity on the most essential actions.

I found that I didn’t need to deny my fear and sadness. I could allow them to teach me.

In the space in between, I remembered that human beings have infinite potential to restore wholeness. Everything is recoverable, even when it feels completely lost.

What I know to be true is this: 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩.

Whatever the challenge, whatever the circumstance, we hold within us limitless power to create the future we dream possible. It’s these challenges and these circumstances that give us the chance to strengthen ourselves for the next chapter that awaits us.

Never forget:
🧐 There is a part of you that knows, even when you think you don’t.

🧱There is a part of you that builds, even when you feel broken.

🧭 There is a part of you that guides, even when you feel lost.

Believe in 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 part, in 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 of you, and remember that you can come back stronger from 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Your setback is always a setup to help you leap to a new level. The breakdown always precedes the breakthrough.

🪅 I see now how my transition was an opening for possibility.

🪅 I see now how I can honor what was without being limited by it.

🪅 I see now that my calling is to be a boundless belief in what’s possible so that I can serve others in their journey home to their true selves.

I’m grateful to Eddie Aldrete for inviting me to share my story on the Beyond the Bite podcast (linked below). May you find something in our episode that helps you honor your experiences, find strength in your journey, and remember the infinite possibility that you 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 are.
