Threshold
There comes a point in life, and in leadership, where what once worked no longer feels aligned.
On the surface, things may look fine, yet our bodies begin signaling to us that something feels off.
We worry.
We wonder.
We begin to reckon with a deeper truth.
Often, this experience arrives after we’ve walked a stretch of success, yet something still feels incomplete within us.
Perhaps it’s when we leave the career we built…or that career leaves us.
Perhaps it’s when we leave a relationship…or that relationship leaves us.
Perhaps it’s when we realize the results we’re proud of have come at a cost to our well-being.
It’s a quiet signal at first…then louder.
A knowing we can no longer override.
Something recognizes what’s no longer sustainable.
We feel called in a new direction, but that direction lives in the unknown.
And the unknown can feel terrifying.
So we question.
We question ourselves until we begin questioning everything.
Fear rises.
Resistance tightens.
We feel stuck.
We freeze.
We flee.
We try to override what we feel.
But the yearning doesn’t go away.
It grows.
Dear Leader, if you find yourself here, please know this:
You are not broken.
You are not behind.
You are standing at a threshold.
A moment that asks you to shift, not because you’ve failed, but because you’re ready for more.
More truth.
More alignment.
More vitality.
What you’re feeling isn’t a problem to solve. It’s an invitation to expand.
A pivot point where your leadership begins to make space for the growth moving through you.
When I met this moment in my own life, it felt like everything was breaking down.
Looking back now, I realize that breakdown became the doorway to a life that felt more honest…more whole…more alive.
This is the quiet power of a threshold moment.
It doesn’t ask you to have all the answers.
It simply asks you to listen and to choose differently.
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
You don’t have to navigate it in silence.
There is a way through, and yes, it will be worth it.
Because on the other side of this threshold is a way of living and leading that feels so much more like you.
